Brielle Ashford is a freshman at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, as well as in Barrett, The Honors College. She is originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
Brielle has a vibrant passion for all things journalism and has talents that span from digital to print. She is currently minoring in political science. She has been a volunteer for her school broadcast Cronkite News, a reporter for Downtown Devil and a blogger for The Chic Daily in college, as well as a three-year editor and reporter for her high school publication.
She is so excited to start as a Community Reporting intern for the Arizona Republic in fall 2017 – Arizona’s largest newspaper. She is also an Emma L. Bowen Foundation scholar, and will spend her summers beginning in 2017 interning at WJBK FOX 2 Detroit, a station she grew up watching and is honored to now join the family for three years.
Brielle’s hobbies include spending time with friends and family, keeping up with current news events, the latest fashion trends, traveling near and far and trying various restaurants.
